Montessori Makers Group LLC (“MMG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates montessorimakersgroup.org and related sub-domains and products, including MatchHub, the Montessori Makers Alignment Platform (MMAP), the Field Guide, the Leadership Meridian, the Toolbox, the Institute, and the Studio (“Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Information you provide directly — when you create an account, subscribe to a newsletter, submit a form, purchase a product, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, school or organization name, role, and payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).
• Usage data — page views, navigation paths, and feature usage collected automatically through Vercel Analytics. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly: it does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information or fingerprint individual users.
• Cookies — we use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Services
• Process transactions and send related notices
• Send product updates, newsletters, and educational content you have opted into
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the site (via Vercel Analytics)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

Our Services integrate with the following third-party providers:

• Stripe — payment processing. Governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Data is stored in US-based servers.
• Vercel Analytics — privacy-preserving site analytics. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no PII collection.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Beehiiv — newsletter platform for opt-in subscriber communications.

4. FERPA and Student Data

The Montessori Makers Alignment Platform (MMAP) is used by Montessori schools and may involve student education records protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Where MMAP is used in a school context, MMG acts as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest, as defined by FERPA, under the direction of the school. 5. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing info@montessorimakersgroup.org. Aggregate, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of marketing communications (unsubscribe link in every email)
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

We use only essential cookies — specifically, session and authentication cookies required for logged-in functionality. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. Vercel Analytics, our only analytics tool, operates without cookies entirely. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; doing so will prevent you from using authenticated features of the site.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our public website and marketing products are not directed to children under 13. Where MMAP is used by schools to manage student records (which may include minors), all data handling is governed by the school’s FERPA agreement with MMG. Parents and eligible students may exercise FERPA rights through their school.

9. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure infrastructure hosted on Vercel and Supabase, and access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure; please contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated via email to active account holders or via a notice on the site.
